Investigation, monitoring, and reassurance

 

Some medications require monitoring, and sometimes you just want to keep track of progress or make sure that everything is as it should be. I am pleased to arrange investigations for existing patients as previously agreed on receipt of a request (for example, if I have recommended a repeat test in 3 months). If there are further investigations that you would like to undertake, I suggest that we discuss this in a consultation first to ensure that this is appropriate, and to avoid any unnecessary repeat blood draws.

 

Pathology testing is currently arranged through a local partnership with Randox. There is a £35 phlebotomy charge associated with this, and a further cost which is dependent on the particular tests requested. I will contact you with details of the specific amount and for payment on receipt on your request.

 

I normally recommend a short consultation to discuss the results of your tests once they are available.
